Weddings in Hvar
This blog post takes us to this magical place called Hvar, which is a Croatian island in the Adriatic Sea, located off the Dalmatian coast.
We shot this wedding last September:
The couple is from Turkey, but fell in love with Croatia long time go and it is so cool that they've found us through our previous work that we did on the Adriatic Sea two years ago : https://vimeo.com/27379848

The day started from preparations in this exquisite hotel Luxury Yacht
Harbour Hotel Riva then we proceeded to Fort
Španjola and the reception was held at the fabuluos Zori Restaurant
on Palmizana Island - a perfect place for celebrating
this special occasion.
The whole day was filmed by us, Denis & Max from Deneemotion Boutique
Wedding Cinema and the photographer was this
awesome guy Nolte Lourens.
I have to mention an amazing wedding planner Anita Blaic
who did an incredible job putting all
things together flawlessly.
All in all, our "weddings in Hvar" count is 2 at the moment. Now we are back to work! And then back to Croatia in August. So stay tuned for more exciting news :)

Yes, I believe you /// Rebecca & Dylan
Dylan called me from Long Beach, California 6 months before the wedding and said "We like your style; the artistic angles at which the videos were shot, the editing of footage to great music, and the feel of the whole viewing experience and you are the person we want to create a timeless memory that we could share for the rest of our lives. We've researched so many companies that seemed so 'ordinary' and we could tell that we could work with you to get a great video that reflected the look and feel of our wedding."
Anyway, during the conversation with Dylan, I had a feeling that this could be our most contemporary wedding to date, so I offered to interview them beforehand. We decided to film at Rebecca's parents house in London and it was an ideal location for this type of thing. This couple (Dylbecca for short) was so passionate about the whole thing that it gave us a boost to make the best highlighs clip we possibly could.
We arrived to this venue which appeared to be the Great Barn, a magical 13th century Grade II barn. There were so many tiny lovely things to film that I left my assistant Max at the venue and went to film other preparations. Dylan told me about the first dance surprise. It was a actual live performance by their good friend Dan Perkins of The New Fidelity (newfidelity.com). Rebecca had no idea. We were so eager to see this idea becoming a reality!
It was to our surprise that the lovely Fearne Cotton of BBC Radio1 and fiancé Jesse Jenkins, a famous celebrity photographer and pro-skateboarder (jessejohnjenkins.com) were in attendance to add to the already magical vibe of the day.
So, since Dylan is from California, they had a second part of their wedding, in Mission Viejo, Los Angeles. We went there in October to film US reception as well. To conclude, we felt so lucky and happy these guys hired Deneemotion to film their UK and US parts!
Shot entirely on Canon 7D with multiple L lenses.
